Vain Bart

Nothing but another t-shirt and denim shorts combo again. Who says you're less stylish on your plain shirt when you have this cute Bart Simpson shorts with you? This Bart all-over print makes them so much fun to wear that it can stand out even on your plain shirt. Do not get me wrong. I am not putting limits on your options. If prints on prints is your thing, then do it! :)

So many good shots from my photographer,  I just had to post them. I hope you don't get tired of my face! Haha!

Top from Chicabooti

I do not want to put so much attention on my accessories so I just chose to wear two layers of thin necklaces. Sometimes simplicity speaks volume.

Happy to show you my latest purchase of kicks from S&H! Never did I think I'll love a pair of shoes that is sort of huge looking like this one cos its not really my thing. I swear it is by far the most comfy, to think I wore it in a 5 hours straight party.

Plains on prints

If you are following me on IG this look might seem familiar to you. Yes! This is what I wore on The Fashion Blogger Talk last June 2, 2013. Going outdoor in a hot hot very hot weather (Yes! I had to say hot and the one with very in it 3 times) isn't the smartest idea but we can't always avoid it. That's why in this look I opted to be on my comfiest, casual yet still classy me. (arte lang! haha)

Since I already gave stress on how hot the weather is, I am so glad that I chose to be on my shorts again. Just the thought of wearing pants is already making me sweat! Plus notice the choice of colors in this look, sky blue, white and other light hues combined together. Dark clothing, for me absorbs heat so it is wise to wear light colors to prevent you from feeling hot.

It is too sunny! See how I barely keep my eyes open! Hehehe Ok enough with all the weather rants.

I love how the denim long sleeves gave balance on my look. I mean, imagine my entire outfit without it. It can look a little plain and simple.

This shorts, which I may say the key piece in the whole outfit can clearly speak for itself. The prints and colors gave life to the look and I love its slightly grainy texture in it.

Just a few accessories to keep my wrist far from being boring! Watch from Ana Gonzales' booth and my bracelet from Tracy Ayson's.

The Fashion Blogger talk

Walang pinapalagpas when it comes to passion. (Naks!) Kaya naman the first time I heard about BU having their first ever workshop for fashion, blogging and photography, bumili na agad ako ng ticket! I didn't mind spending 400 php for I know this workshop can help me a lot! I can't be more excited about the Fashion Blogger Talk as if the BU Bazaar the day before was not enough. lol

First up, Lissa and David. Lissa talking about how Hashtags/Labels can be very useful as a blogging tool. Useful in a sense that it can help your blog or your blog posts to go viral and being able to share things with more people.

I totally agree!!! Especially if the clothes are nice why not wear them more than once? It all comes down to mixing and matching clothes to come up with a new and fresh look!

What stick to me the most is how they showed us the right way of taking outfit shots. See in the picture above how high angle differs from low angle. Low angle shots can slim down a person's body and make us look more taller.

Yes! The simpsons on the next slide. David Guison teaching us about finding an outfit inspiration. How? Sabi ni David he was just watching The Simpsons daw and thought to do an outfit about it. The bottom line is that we can get outfit inspirations from almost everything like the one he did right here! Sometimes looking around, it can spark a thought that can lead to a posts! :)

Its the trio's turn! Kryz, Laureen and Camille started off the talk by telling us how they became friends with each other. I love how the workshop is so balance, from DG and lissa na very straight-forward and informative to this trio with their slightly casual approach.

What Kryz and Laureen was busy about when Camille is doing all the talking. O diba ang kulit lang! Hehe

We are on a prints on prints phase today and pulling that kind of look can be a little challenging. Good thing Camille Co gave us some tips on how to wear such look. The key is to look for the dominant color whether from top or bottom, then find a pair that has a touch of the dominant one.

One of the highlights of the talk is when Laureen showed us how to do the 2-3 in 1 necklaces where she is known to be good at. Challenging kasi ang hirap ibagay ng one necklace to another but if done well maganda ang result!

Kryz giving points about how important make up in completing the entire look.

I learned so much from the talk! Went home feeling na sobrang maalam haha and not only that, we were even spoiled with so much freebies so no one went home empty handed! Bongga!

Bloggers United 5

Better late than never seems to be my motto lately. Yes! My apologies for my super super late post! Well, what's new? You know how slow internet connection can be a real pain in the ass and getting it done in a computer shop has never been an option to me. Hassle kaya! Hehe. But still I cannot be more guilty for not doing a heavy-internet task that cannot wait. (Exage ba!)

Last year's bloggers united was a success but  BU's fifth installment was madness. Jam packed crowd fills the area even before the gates were opened.

Arriving late, I literally had no hopes of scoring on their pre-loved items but I was wrong. Upon entering the venue I've come across so many clothing racks, shoes, accessories that are to die for! Kaya nga it was so much better compared to BU4 kasi nung BU4 by lunch palang halos wala ng mabibili.

I have no idea what to put up first whether I should go raid each booths already or search for my favorite bloggers to take a picture. I was just completely overwhelmed with the whole scene!

One of my BU5 buddies who already does fashion blogging now! See how I can greatly influenced my friends with all my "kaartihan". lol

Perfect pairs of shoes from S&H that are definitely made for wearing! You can get for only 1000 php, dalawa na! Bongga!

With 'Scene Stealer' Ms. Lissa Kahayon dressed simple yet stunning on her floral dress.

I challenged my friend with a "Sinong mas close" pose with David Guison and DG himself came up with the idea of gangster pose with me. Akala ko "ako na!", sabay yumakap siya (jamie) Hahaha!

My friend with DG.

The two geniuses behind every BU success, Ms. Aisa Ipac of the Drowning Equilibriums and Ms. Ana Gonzales of The Fashionista Commuter.

I wasn't sure what to expect at first but Bloggers United surprised me once again! Bought few stuffs from Tracy's booth as well as with Ana G and Alyssa Lapid's. Enjoyed the shopping a lot, and even more with the idea of meeting the bloggers I've seen before and finally meeting the bloggers I've been dying to see in flesh. We seriously had  an amazing time and I can't wait for the next BU!!!
